Travel Information
There has never beeen a greater choice. For most people, once they have cruised they want to carry on cruising! No matter what your age, lifestyle or interests there is a cruise ship to suit you. Unlike a traditional land based holiday, your hotel moves from place to place so you only have to pack once. You can wake up to a new destination almost every day on many cruises, giving you the chance to explore exciting new places, whether a bustling city or a quiet, remote island. When in port you can choose from a range of organised shore excursions, do your own thing, or just stay on board!
All cruise prices include all meals and a range of entertainment although there may be an additional charge for some specialist restaurants for example. Some ships are all inclusive with no additional charges for drinks on board or gratuities.Ask us to clarify what is included before you book.

Here are some of the considerations:
Where to cruise?
Cruise from and back to the UK ( no worries about how much luggage you can take or airport queues) or fly to and from a distant destination for your cruise ( get to warmer climes faster).
See a country from the inside by taking a river cruise along one of the World’s major waterways.
Which ship and cruise line?
There are large

ships with over 4000 passengers and resort facilities, small ships with less than 100 passengers and a highly personalised service, and every imagineable combination in between. We can guide you through the maze.
What facilities are there?
There are child-free and family friendly ships, ships that are contemporary in style with a relaxed ambience and those that are innovative with the latest onboard facilities.
These can include rock-climbing walls, internet cafes, spas, open air cinemas, west end style theatres, ice skating rinks, surfriding simulators and casinos for those who like a flutter.
There are always places onboard where you can just relax whether on a sunbed on deck or in a library for example.
Where to dine?
All ships offer a choice of dining areas. As well as a main restaurant, many ships offer alternative dining areas, from self-service to silver service, a la carte venues, and snack bars (somtimes open 24 hours). Some of the larger vessels have many restaurants, offering a range of cuisine from Mediterranean to Japanese, some with menues created by celebrity chefs. On some ships you can dine in your cabin or on your own bacony depending on the cabin grade you have booked. Some cruise lines have flexible or open dining where you can dine with whom you like at a time to suit you. Others have fixed dining times - usually an early and a late sitting - and you can request your preferred time and table size.
Which cabin?
The best price grade of cabin on most ships is an inside cabin which gives you all the facilities of an outside cabin, but not the view. Outside cabins vary in size and it is also worth considering the position of the cabin on the ship. On some cruises it may be advantageous to be on the port or starboard side or it may be more important to be midships than anything else for this is the most stable part of the ship. Cabins on higher decks are normally more expensive than those lower down. The size of a cabin varies enormously from ship to ship and grade to grade so it is worth checking this carefully. Some cabins have fixed twin or double beds, whereas others can be switched between the two. For families, some cabins may have upper and lower berths, sleeping 2 adults and 2 children. If you specifically require a bath ask at time of booking as many cabins may only have a shower. Consider upgrading to a suite, for more space, or a balcony for a spot of private sunbathing or relaxation. On some ships the top grade cabins even come with their own private butler service. We will discuss all the options with you.
