Cruise DestinationsThere are cruises to all parts of the World. However, itineraries do vary and one thing to look for is the amount of time you get at each destination if there are particular ports of call that interest you. Another variation is that larger ships may have to anchor offshore whereas smaller ships can reach the quayside in the same destination. Cruise Plus. Many people like to extend their holiday before or after their cruise to take in more of the destination of departure or arrival. For example if your cruise leaves from New York why not spend a few days exploring the city before departure. We can tailor your whole itinerary to meet your needs.
UK Cruises to Europe.Cruises from and back to the UK are popular if your destination is anywhere in Europe and cruise lines are increasing the range of ports from which UK Cruises depart. For most UK cruise departures, we offer free parking at the port for the duration of your cruise if it is for 7 nights or more. Mediterranean cruises offer some of the richest cultural and historical experiences with cities such as Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Athens, and Lisbon, all easily accessible. Sunworshippers can travel around the med, in the Summer months in particular, on a mediterrean cruise of their choice, sampling a rich variety of cultures and cuisines. Those med cruises which are less than 10 nights in duration are more typically accessed via a flight to a departure point in the med such as Palma, Majorca. Free airport parking on all fly cruises is one of the benefits we offer to clients booking their fly cruise with us.
For scenic beauty there are cruises to the Norwegian Fjords in the Summer months extending as far as the North Cape in some cases. Baltic cruises are also popular with St Petersburg, Tallin, Copenhagen and Helsinki offering a variety of experiences around the Baltic. Some cruises combine the fjords and the Baltic in the same itinerary.Cruises to the Canary Islands are particularly popular over the Christmas period and are often combined with visits to ports in Portugal, France, Spain or North Africa. Caribbean Cruises Caribbean cruises are particularly popular during our Winter months, outside the hurricane season (mid June to mid November) Most Caribbean cruises are accessed via flights from the UK, but some cruise from the UK across the Atlantic, perhaps calling at islands such as Madeira or Cape Verde.
Cruises often focus on one area eg the Eastern Caribbean islands, the Western islands and Mexico, or the Southern islands. Many cruise lines feature a private island on their itinerary, and there are a number of ships that will take you through the Panama Canal.
The amount of time spent in any one port varies and it is worth comparing itineraries to avoid disappointment.
It is of course possible to stay on one of the islands before or after your cruise to extend your holiday and give it a different dimension.Alaskan Cruises Cruises to Alaska are offered by several major cruise lines either from Vancouver, Seattle, or an Alaskan port. A popular choice combines the Rockies, Vancouver, and an Alaskan cruise in a 14 night holiday. For those seeking a small ship experience Cruise West offer various itineraries in Alaska which get close in to the majestic scenery. For those wishing to see something of the interior of Alaska, tours can be made by rail and or coach to the Denali National Park, home of the highest mountain in North America, Mt McKinley.

These may be part of a World cruise in which you can take just the section that interests you, flying to your departure port and back from your destination. Dubai and Cyprus are destinations where you can combine a cruise with a hotel stay. There are Indian Ocean cruises around the beautiful islands of Zanzibar, Mauritius, Madagascar and the Seychelles. Those with a taste for adventure may like to consider a cruise up the Amazon or Orinoco, whilst cruises to the Antarctic from South America are increasingly popular. Hawaii and the Western seaboard of Mexico are other exotic destinations that can be explored. Mini-Cruises Many UK based cruise companies now offer a range of mini-cruise from UK ports to allow those who want to sample a cruise or a ship to do so, before making a decision on a longer itinerary. |
